Squad Placement Criteria

To ensure appropriate placement that maximizes each swimmer’s development and enjoyment, squad assignments consider:

  • Personal best times (review of times across 50m/100m/200m)
  • Age (ensuring appropriate groupings for safeguarding)
  • Current and previous qualifying times achieved
  • Training capability and attendance
  • Stroke technique and skill development needs
  • Individual potential and goals
  • Squad capacity & coaches discretion

Our coaching team has worked hard to ensure each swimmer is placed where they can thrive, be appropriately challenged, and enjoy their swimming journey.
